(3 Jun 2019) The Moroccan Foreign Minister welcomed his Spanish counterpart to Rabat for talks on bilateral issues, including immigration and the Euro-Mediterranean partnership.
Nasser Bourita told a joint news conference with visiting Josep Borell that Morocco had stopped 30,000 illegal immigration attempts since January and dismantled more than 60 immigration networks in the first five months of 2019.
Bourita said bilateral relations were strenghtening, adding “on many issues, Morocco and Spain share the same perception and the same vision.”
For his part Borell said both parties were engaged in building “a true partnership that is strategic and global with our big Mediterranean neighbour.”
