A deadly winter storm is lashing the North-East of Spain and has left 200,000 people without electricity.
Storm Gloria arrived with strong winds, rain, and heavy snowfall in some parts of the region, and it’s now on its fifth day.
Huge waves are battering the Catalan coastline, causing major damage to beaches around Barcelona, Valencia and the Balearic Islands. The beach town of Tossa de Mar has even been submerged in sea foam, and rice paddies in the Ebro river delta, Spain’s longest river, have been devastated.
The storm has also reached the Pyrénées-Orientales region in the South of France.
