Taiwan President Lai Ching-te has said that the argument China uses to claim Taiwan could also be used to claim territories now a part of Russia. Lai made the comments in an interview with Taiwanese media on Sunday. Russian officials have rejected Lai’s comments and reaffirmed their support for the “one-China policy.”
