South African Roland Singh suffered anaphylactic shock and died last Saturday after he was stung by Portuguese Man o’ War while swimming with his granddaugther near Cape Town. When the jellyfish-like creatures sting, venom is released, causing severe pain and whiplike red welts and swells.
