The fifth Ministerial Conference of the Forum for Economic and Trade Cooperation between China and Portuguese-speaking countries opened on Tuesday in Macao Special Administrative Region, China.
The opening ceremony was hosted by Chinese Commerce Minister Gao Hucheng.
Chinese Premier Li Keqiang delivered a keynote speech at the event.
Other speakers were Cape Verdean Prime Minister Ulisses Correia e Silva; Guinea-Bissau’s Prime Minister Baciro Djá; Mozambican Prime Minister Carlos Agostinho do Rosario; Portuguese Prime Minister Antonio Costa; Angolan Minister of Economy Abraao Gourgel; Brazilian Minister of Industry, Trade and Services Marcos Pereira and Minister of State of East Timor Estanislau da Silva.
Established in 2003, the forum has become an increasingly important platform for deepening mutually-beneficial cooperation between China and the Portuguese-speaking countries and promoting common economic development of participating countries.
