アメリカ・ラスベガスで起きた銃乱射事件を受け、アメリカの銃規制の強化が一部、進む可能性が出てきた。容疑者が所持していた銃の連射を可能にする装置の販売禁止に賛同が広がっている。
事件を起こしたパドック容疑者は、銃の連射を可能にする「バンプストック」という装置を所持していた。
野党・民主党の議員はこうした発射能力を高める装置の所持や販売を禁止する法案を提出し、与党・共和党の幹部も５日この法案を検討する考えを示した。ホワイトハウスの報道官も議論を歓迎する意向を示している。
さらに、トランプ政権に影響力のある銃規制に反対する団体、「全米ライフル協会」も「バンプストック」を規制対象にすべきとの方針を明らかにした。
規制強化が一部、進む可能性が出てきたが、このほかの改正にまで議論が及ぶかは不透明。

The White House spokesperson also shows an intention to welcome the debate.
In addition, the organization that opposes the gun regulation which has influence on the Trump regime, “National Rifle Association” also clarified policy to regulate “bump stock”.
There is a possibility that some regulations will be strengthened, but it is unclear whether discussions will be extended to other amendments.
