都内ではひょうも降るなど、関東地方は大荒れとなった。東村山市萩山町では午後４時５０分までの１時間に８０ミリの猛烈な雨、横浜市港南区でも午後８時１０分までの１時間に５４ミリの激しい雨が降った。
大雨の峠は越えつつあるが、２０日明け方にかけて大気の不安定な状態が続くため、引き続き、土砂災害や河川の増水に注意が必要だ。
