女優の高畑淳子（６２）が２３日、都内で主演舞台「土佐堀川 近代ニッポン−女性を花咲かせた女 広岡浅子の生涯」の制作発表会見に出席した。

「九回転んで、十回立ち上がった」主人公の生きざまに絡め、「何回ぐらい転んだ？」と質問されると「数えたことないけど（主人公と）同じくらいだと思います」と苦笑い。どう立ち上がるかについて「（主人公のように）１つのことを処理していくこと（が私に見合った立ち直り方）ではないと思う。（私自身は立ち直るのに）時間がかかりますし、ものすごくしつこい」と語った。
昨年８月２３日に長男の高畑裕太（２３）が女性への暴行事件で逮捕（のちに不起訴処分）されてから、ちょうど１年。
