We are a local Spanish online news outlet serving the Spanish speaking community across the state of South Carolina.
During the COVID-19 pandemic we have lost advertisers and other forms of income due to stay at home orders and closings of non-essential businesses, putting us at risk of closing down a vital service in our state.
Readership and viewership has increased by over 400% in the last month, but our funds are near depleted. Like many other publishers we also use automated advertising services through Google. However, the payout for that is pennies per every thousand views, not enough to sustain our organization.
We are working around the clock to bring vital information to our audience as quickly as possible. In addition to our independent news gathering, we are also focused on serving our underserved community by providing English to Spanish translation of emergency press conferences from local and state government officials in real-time.
Beyond our news coverage we answer dozens of questions via our digital channels to meet the critical needs of our community.
