Akimoto Yasuto expects theater company “What is covered with sweat”
作詞家で音楽プロデューサーの秋元康氏（５９）が総合プロデュースを務める劇団「４ドル５０セント」の旗揚げ記者発表会が２３日、都内で行われた。
劇団の名称は、１９６０年代アメリカの歌手、ジャニス・ジョプリンが亡くなった際に手に握りしめていた「４ドル５０セント」が由来。ジャニスの代わりに夢をつかむという意味を込めて、秋元氏が命名した。
秋元氏は、劇団を作った経緯を聞かれると「ＡＫＢ４８を作ったときも、初めは劇団をやろうと思っていたので、原点に戻ったというか…」と告白。「アイドルということではなくて、あくまでも劇団。しかも音楽とともに、なつかしい、泥くさい、汗にまみれたものができたらいいなと、やっています」と思いを伝え、「きっといいものができると思う」と期待を寄せた。
メンバーは秋元氏の開催したオーディションから選出され、演技経験のない素人を中心に、女性２１人と男性１０人の計３１人で構成されている。
リーダーの岡田帆乃佳（２０）は初めて多くのカメラを前にし、「夢の世界にいるみたいでびっくりしています」と照れ笑い。１１月のプレ公演に向け、「“ド素人なりの熱量”で、人の気持ちを動かせるようがむしゃらにけいこをしたいと思っています」と意欲。「最終的な目標は“日本一”を取ることです」と力強く宣言した。
