１８日夜、岐阜県瑞浪市で６人が重軽傷を負った土砂崩れで、道路に粘土質の土などが大量に流れ込んでいることが１９日、現地の調査で分かった。
警察などによると、１８日午後９時半ごろ、瑞浪市の中央自動車道で、高さ約１．５メートル、幅約６０メートルにわたり土砂が流出した。この土砂で、走行中の乗用車６台と大型貨物車１台が巻き込まれ、７歳の男の子を含む６人が重軽傷を負った。
また、現場近くの釜戸町の住宅にも土砂が押し寄せ、住民たちは朝から撤去作業に追われている。
ネクスコ中日本によると、現地の調査で、道路に流れ込んだ土砂は約７００立方メートルにわたっていて、粘土質の土などが大量に含まれているということが分かった。今後、土砂崩れの原因などを調べていくという。
